Description

Day 1

From the airport ( Palermo or Trapani ), we will head to the port of Trapani for a connection with the hydrofoil to Favignana, then shuttle service to the hotel.
After an initial welcome and check-in, there will be a presentation of the island, to discover its colors and flavors, followed by dinner, and a first-hand experience with the culinary traditions of Favignana.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel.
Given the flat nature of the island, we suggest you move around by bike or moped to reach the coves and beaches for your fun time at the sea.
After spending the first day at the beach, we’ll meet up in Piazza Matrice for the “Marathon of Delights”. It begins with a tasting of different types of honeys produced on the island (heather, thistle, rosemary, and thyme), to continue with an aperitif of tuna products (tuna bresaola, tuna bottarga, tuna roe, etc.) and good wine, to then finish with a delicious fish dinner.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel.
A dip in the pristine blue waters of the third of the Egadi islands: Marettimo .
Transfer to Marettimo, considered the sacred island, and one of the most beautiful in Italy. You will then visit to the fishing village, followed by a trip around the island with typical fishing boats or local charterers. Lunch will be on board with “Cunzato” (seasoned) bread with anchovies, olive oil, oregano, salt, and tomatoes. A visit follows to the grottoes, stopping for a dive in some of the most beautiful coves.
Among these are Cala Conca, Scalo Maestro, and the renowned Cala Bianca within the largest marine reserve in Europe. Return to Favignana.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel.
Mini-cruise with lunch on board towards exploring the beautiful coves of the island, and also the nearby island of Levanzo. There will be a short stop at the small village and visit to the Grotta del Genovese, to admire graffiti that dates back to the Paleolithic and Neolithic eras.
Back to Favignana in the late afternoon. Dinner on your own.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel.
Explore the island by land: Visit to the Hypogeum Gardens within the old abandoned tuff quarries, followed by visit the archaeological site of San Nicola and the Grotta del Pozzo.
Lunch break with the traditional pasta dish with pesto alla Trapanese.
Visit to the tuff quarries, Bue Marino, and Cala Rossa where, in the surrounding waters, the epochal battle of the Egadi between the Carthaginians and Romans took place.
You will have time for a quick dive, then we will return to the hotel, and dinner will be on your own.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel.
In the afternoon, visit to the former tuna cannery, Florio, which was recently restored. A tried and true journey into the past of the thriving tuna fishing industry and the ancient tuna cannery.
We will then stop to enjoy delicious Sicilian pastries: hot cassatelle (fried pastry) with ricotta cheese and coffee in the beautiful Piazza Europa.

Day 7

Free to fly on the wings of the renowned “butterfly of the sea.”
Farewell dinner with the famous frascatole in broth, good seafood, and local traditional wines.

Check out.
