Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to start with the tour of Syracuse city, a place where the testimonials of past domination are shining even today. Not surprisingly, Cicero, referring to Syracuse, called it "the largest and most beautiful of the Greek cities". Unmissable steps of the suggestions will be: the Neapolis Archaeological Park (parco archeologico di Neapolis) where you can see the greek theater (teatro Greco), the 'Ear of Dionysus ( orecchio di Dionisio) and the Roman amphitheater (Anfiteatro romano) . We will go to the Cordari cave (Grotta dei cordari) located in the cpmplex of Paradise Latomia (Latomia del Paradiso), to the St. Giovanni’s catacombs (catacombe di San Giovanni), to the Our Lady of tears’ shrine (Santuario della Madonna delle Lacrime). The next steps will be Archimede square (piazza Archimede)with its impressive baroque buildings, the Artemis’ Fountain (la Fontana di Artemide), the of Apollo’s temple, the famous Ortigia, an island of extraordinary beauty, where you can visite the magnificent cathedral that rises on the remains of a temple dedicated to Athena and the Arethusa’s fountain( la Fontana di Aretusa), a body of water where grow papyrus. Lunch at a restaurant at ortigia where we will be able to savour the food f Syracuse. Return, by a private bus, to the hotel in evening. Relax, aperitif and dinner at the hotel.

The Sicilian baroque is the style describing the stages of that reconstruction that took place in the eighteenth century and that, in Ragusa, sows itself in the whole shining of the palaces and numerous churches (at least 50), It’s sufficient to think that the artistic and cultural heritage of Ragusa has been declared UNESCU Site, world heritage. Among the most important artistic works of art stands St. George’s cathedral with its magnificent dome filled with treasures inside and beautiful glass windows, fresco and wooden high-reliefs. In addition to the magical alleys to visit, noteworthy are the most important squares in Ragusa, that is Piazza Duomo, Piazza Pola and St Paul’s Largo (Largo San Paolo). We can breathe a unique atmosphere, continuing the tour, inside Hyblaean Gardens (Villa Ragusa) that arise on a panoramic position overlooking the Irminio valley. We will proceed to visit other evidence of Baroque palaces like the Cosentini’s palace and Sortino Trono’s palace. Transfer to Scicli for lunch and tastings of fine wines of the local tradition, as well as a visit to the Donna Fugata’s Castle, sumptuous and noble residence of the nineteenth century, place of enormous charm, where some scenes of “Montalbano” and of “ Il gattopardo”. Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Noto and visit the famous baroque Cathedral and the old town. The town of Noto affects because of its extraordinary elegance and, not by chance, it is counted in the list of the properties considered heritage oh UNESCU. The new city (Noto was completely destroyed by a violent earthquake in 963) was built according to the rules of Sicilian baroque orienting the edge by the cardinal points to have a perfect lighting for the facades of the buildings resulting in a stage effect at sunset. The tour continues with the transfer to Marzamemi, an ancient fishing village, and stop to have lunch. Visit of the Natural Reserve of Capo Passero. Return to the hotel, relax and dinner.

Caltagirone bound its name to the famous pottery, produced from generation to generation, in the workshops located in the village streets. Really the town it can be considered as an “open-air museum”. because the great tradition of artistic craftsmanship enriches every corner of the town. Just in the city of pottery could not miss a museum of pottery, in an Art Nouveau building built about the 50’s. Very famous is the Santa Maria del Monte’s stairs, with its 42 steps that let it t reach an height of 00 meters; it was built to connect the old town with the more recent one, built higher.
